On Sunday, April 23rd  2006, beginning at 6:30pm, the Coffee Klatch will be hosting a Latte Art competition featuring 'Etching' at their Rancho Cucamonga location.  The 1st competition featuring 'Free Pour' Latte Art was won by Matt Plante.  The event is open to the public.

Baristas are the coffee bartenders who make great drinks every day.  The Competition will feature the area's finest baristi going head to head in a rich and spirited display of their coffee creativity. To be able to create these beautiful patterns requires an advanced level of artistry and expertise requiring the barista balance all of the scientific factors resulting in a drink that tastes as good as fresh ground coffee smells.

A latte finished in this manner is visually stunning and incredibly special.  Each barista will have five minutes to produce their best 'etched' art.  A panel of expert and guest judges will evaluate the drinks on a 75 point scoring system.

The Coffee Klatch is a local Roaster and Retailer of Gourmet Specialty Coffee since 1993.  They are home to United States Barista Champion Heather Perry and have been honored with many local and international awards for their coffee and business.
