A torrent of 65mph+ wind storms hit El Salvador and have done extensive damage to the entire region. Regretfully, 2007 COE winners were hit the hardest with crop losses above 60% and extreme foliage damage (foliage affects the next year’s crop). Our La Montana supplier, Raul Ochoa, experienced a 90% loss of crop. To help aid relief efforts Coffee Klatch Roasting will be donating $5 for every bag purchased of our  El Salvadorian COE #1 La Montana.

Colombian coffee has long been a simple process whereby the buyer simply approves or rejects coffee by the container.

Inland barista takes silver in world competition; her espresso wins gold Print E-mail

ImageThe Press•Enterprise has published an account of Klatch Roasting's own Heather Perry's recent Second Place ranking in a recent competition in Tokyo.  From the article:

The win is the highest finish by an American and a woman in the competition. Perry also won first for her espresso, which she crafted with her father.
